The Network connects individuals and organisations who are committed to reducing gambling harm — including those in:

Together, we share insights, build partnerships, and strengthen capacity across the system.

Network
Operations

As the lead organisation for the Network to Reduce Gambling Harms, Greo Evidence Insights (Greo) is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all Network activities and outcomes.

Greo provides a dedicated Network Operations Team throughout the term of the funding. This team leads planning, facilitation, communications, evaluation, and the production of documents, knowledge products, and other Network-related programming.

Together, the Network Operations Team supports a coordinated, evidence-informed, and community-driven approach to reducing gambling harms across Great Britain.

Network Governance

A Network Steering Committee (NSC) provides strategic guidance and insights to help the Network achieve its mission: strengthening capacity to prevent and reduce gambling-related harms, particularly within underserved and equity-deserving communities across Great Britain.

The NSC plays a vital role in:

  • Informing priorities and activities across the Network

  • Facilitating connections and reach across regions and sectors

  • Ensuring the Network’s work remains collaborative, inclusive, and impact-driven

Network Steering Committee Members

The NSC is made up of organisations representing diverse perspectives from across research, community, public health, treatment, and lived experience.

Network Priorities

To help shape the Network’s focus and activities, we spoke with almost 70 people from across Great Britain — including those with lived experience, and people working in research, treatment, public health, and community organisations. Through interviews, workshops, and surveys, they shared what matters most when it comes to preventing and reducing gambling harms.

From these conversations, we gathered 32 ideas and, through a structured and collaborative process, narrowed them down to the 10 most important priorities.

These priorities cover key areas such as:

  • Developing prevention and education to stop harm before it starts

  • Reducing stigma and improving support for people affected

  • Understanding mental health risks

  • Exploring how regulation and policy can better protect communities

All of the priorities are grounded in lived experience and shaped by the collective insight of people working across the system.

Network Funding

Greo received regulatory settlement funds for socially responsible purposes to develop, facilitate, and evaluate the Network to Reduce Gambling Harms in Great Britain. Learn more about Network Funding

Network Evaluation

The Network works to tackle the community-identified priorities that matter most in reducing gambling harms across Great Britain. We listen widely to understand what’s needed, then provide targeted support, funding, and opportunities that help people and organisations turn ideas into action. By connecting learning and collaboration across communities, research, and practice, the Network helps build momentum for real change.

We’re also committed to understanding what works. Using a theory of change, pathways of change, and other evaluation tools, the Network continually learns from its activities to strengthen impact and share insights with others.
